I trained as a Fleet Street press photographer at Fox Photos and Keystone Press, covering news stories. Throughout the 1980's I travelled the world photographing Princess Diana and the Royal Family, on their official Tours. I produced 16 books from this, two of which made the Sunday Times Best Seller list. I have shot major stories on the English upper classes at play; Behind the scenes at the Bank of England ( the only photographer ever to do so); and a story on quirky British Rituals that ran over ten pages in the Sunday Times magazine. My work appears in Time, Newsweek, The Guardian, The Observer, The Times, Businessweek and Vanity Fair. My pictures have been exhibited at the Leica Gallery in Germany, by the World Press Photo contest, the Press Photographers Association, and the Association of Photographers. I have won awards in the AOP Awards and the Industrial Photographer of the Year contest. I now work mainly for editorial and corporate clients such as the National Trust, shooting documentary style reportage, and also specialize in shooting School Prospectuses. I am the UK contributor for Canvas, an Art magazine, published in Dubai. My other speciality is portraiture of writers.
