Galleries - On the galleries page,
you can find galleries of images that have been selected by theme
to highlight content that will be useful for National Trust users
in support of National Trust campaigns and strategies.
Hi-res - A high resolution digital
file of an image.
Image size - In the restrictions information
for an image, this refers to the largest available size of the
digital image, which determines the suitability of the final
image.
Keyword - A search term added to
an image in the cataloguing process.
Lightbox - A collection of images
that you can create, edit and share with other website users.
Low-res - A low resolution digital
file of an image. These are for preview only, are watermarked and
are not for reproduction.
NT Internal use only - Images that
can only be used by the National Trust or users working on behalf
of the National Trust.
Permit Scheme - Images not
commissioned by National Trust Images but provided by freelance
photographers through the National Trust Permit Photography Scheme.
These images are free to use for most National Trust users. If you

Restrictions - Criteria that can
affect whether you can use an image. These are: File size, Model
release, Property release, Further Copyright and Ownership. For
